The author investigates the problem of rational applied use of structural identification methods under conditions of prior structural uncertainty. The article contains this problem statement for the pre-project stages of creating an automatic stabilization system with the required properties. For a clear and precise understanding of the problem, the author formulates the principal research contradiction, the problem's central question, the research's main hypothesis, and the study purpose. The article contains the preliminary solution to the formulated problem.
